NEWSFLASH: We’re Back To Full Services!

We are happy to announce that Governor Beshear and the State Veterinary Board have lifted many of the restrictions that veterinarians have had during the pandemic. We are now back to being full service.

However, they still have several procedures in place that vets must follow.

We will be continuing to use our curbside service. This has worked well and keeps our staff, you and your pets safe from potential problems.

Expansion

In addition, we are so happy that we have construction in progress and are moving forward. This is temporarily making the inside of the clinic a bit chaotic.

Using curbside service will also facilitate our construction team being able to do their job. Currently, we are working on getting plumbing moved into the back of the building, creating a new surgery room, as well as additional exam rooms. This will allow us to be able to see more patients and provide more services to our clients.

Full Service

At this time there are no restrictions on surgeries. We can do spays. We can also do nail and beak trims.

Another reason we are continuing curbside service is that is just easier for you the client not to have to go through all the steps. Dr. Glaza will make exceptions on a case by case need when it’s a situation such as euthanasia and your pet may need you in those last moments.

The state requires every client who enters the building to complete a number of steps:

  • Have their temperature taken prior to entering the building.
  • Wear a mask.
  • Wash hands before and after.
  • Only one family member may enter the building.
  • Our waiting room/reception area must remain closed.

Quite honestly it is impractical to go through these steps many times a day. We are trying to conserve our protective gear since it is still difficult for us to purchase things such as latex gloves and disposable masks. In addition, we have a small staff that works closely together to provide efficient and quality care for your pets. If one of us gets ill it can affect our overall services.

We will continue to make farm calls and see your livestock.
